    COMPANY FRIGPAC Version 2

    FRIGPAC Version 2 is a Windows program designed to quickly and accurately determine refrigeration pipe sizes in refrigeration and air conditioning systems, and to calculate system pipework velocities and pressure drops.
    The program accommodates a wide range of system types and options, including:
  • multiple compressors, condensers, evaporators etc.
  • single - or multi-stage systems (up to 3 - stage)
  • a wide range of traditional and new refrigerants, including R11, R12, R22, R123, R134a, R404A, R407C, R500, R502, R507; other refrigerants may be added upon user request

    • As in the traditional engineering design process, the first stage is to draw a schematic of the pipework system. This Draw operation is quick and easy using the "mouse" and an on-screen toolbar to place major system components on the screen and to connect them with suction, discharge and/or liquid pipework. Once the schematic is complete, the user proceeds to the Dimension phase to enter the physical system data into the program.
    Either 2- or 3-dimensional schematic modeling may be used. The 3-dimensional modelling automatically assesses the number of bends in each pipe section, while this information has to be entered in the Dimension phase for 2-dimensional modelling.
    The program graphically identifies potential problem areas within the pipework system, including velocities and pressure drops outside the design limits and areas where flash gas may occur in liquid lines due to pipe elevation and low refrigerant pressure.
